For over 80 years, the Mukundray Fulchand family has been shaping metal into memory. Every piece that leaves our Sihor workshop carries the same hands.

Why Trust The Metal

"Our Work Is To Preserve Pure Kansa In Indian Homes - To Give Families Kitchenware That Makes An Everyday Meal Feel Like Something Worth Gathering For."

- Kansawala Mukundray Fulchand, Sihor, Gujarat

One Man Began it. The Family Carries it.

Where it began

One Man Began it. The Family Carries it.

In 1945, in the Kansara bazar of Sihor, Gujarat, our Grandfather, Sh. Mukundray Fulchand, lit his first furnace. He had learned the craft from his own father, who had learned it from his.

"We don't just make utensils. We pass down a way of living - one that Ayurveda has celebrated for thousands of years."

What began as one workshop has, across four generations, become a name that households in India and 40+ countries have come to trust.

Today the family and our artisans still work side by side in that same Sihor workshop - hammering each sheet of metal by hand, the way it was done in 1945.

Four generations

The Same Furnace, Kept Lit.

Names change with time. The hammer, the furnace, and the standard have not.

The third generation

The family pursues lab verification to prove what they had always known by hand, that the metal is pure. Testing becomes part of how every batch leaves the workshop.

The fourth generation
Today - The continuer

The fourth generation

The same workshop. The same hammer. The family sells directly, from the front of the very building where the metal is made.

The Metal Named Us Twice.

The name

The Metal Named Us Twice.

Our community is called Kansara - from kansu, the old word for bronze. We were not drawn to this metal. We were born of it. And when, generation after generation, we gave our hands to kansa and nothing else, people stopped asking who we were. They knew us by the metal.

They called us Kansawala.

Foundation

What stays the same.

Beyond the shine, a few things we hold on to.

We think of ourselves as guardians of a craft that could easily disappear - rooted in family, in Sihor, and in a way of eating that Ayurveda has championed for centuries.

We are not the loudest name in this trade. We have never needed to be. The metal, and the family behind it, speak plainly enough.

Traditional Authentic Reliable Nurturing Generational

Most people come to kansa first for how it looks - the warmth, the weight, the quiet richness on a table. They may not yet know the science or the lineage behind it. Our work is to meet that first pull with something deeper, so a beautiful object becomes a trusted family.

We think of ourselves as
guardians of a craft that could easily disappear - rooted in family, in Sihor, and in a way of eating that Ayurveda has championed for centuries.

The promise behind the story

Heritage is the story.
The lab report is the proof.

We are proud of 1945. We know pride is not evidence. So alongside the story, we lab-test our own metal and hold the report - the 78:22 ratio, and food-contact safety, verified, not just claimed.

We make it in the back. We sell it from the front. We make it in the back. We sell it from the front.

ONE ROOF

We make it in the back. We sell it from the front.

No factory somewhere you will never see. Behind our showroom, in the same building, the metal is beaten by hand and the family lives its life. The thing we sell and the place we live are not separated by a single wall.
