Kansa Dinner Sets & Serving Ware
Now Every Meal Becomes Special
Choosing a good dinner set and serving ware for family and guests is one of those quiet, considered decisions for a home. There is something fitting about laying the table in traditional bronze — Kansa has been used in India for centuries for dinnerware and serving ware. For those who value its history, a Kansa dinner set is a piece to keep and enjoy for life.
Kansawala offers a range of kitchenware made in bronze, or Kansa — an alloy of 78% copper and 22% tin. Our range includes handmade dinner sets, serving plates, bowls, spoons, serving ladles and more, in pure, sturdy bronze.
Make your table as special as your food, whether for a gathering or a regular weeknight dinner. Kansawala's online shop has a wide range of Kansa dinner sets and serving ware for any occasion.
The Bronze Age in the Indian Kitchen
Bell metal has been with us since the Bronze Age, when people began using it for tools and ornaments. Over time, Kansa became a valued metal for kitchen utensils, prized for its qualities. In recent generations many homes moved to plastic or melamine, now widely seen as less wholesome — and today traditional bell-metal utensils are returning to modern Indian kitchens.
At Kansawala, our artisans use century-old techniques to make bell-metal utensils, polished by hand to serve everyday meals with care.
Bring Home The Goodness Of Kansa
In Ayurveda, Kansa is considered a 'sattvic' metal and is traditionally believed to offer wellbeing when used to cook or dine. Eating from pure bronze is traditionally said to balance the body's doshas. We believe simplicity is its own kind of beauty — our Kansa dinnerware has a timeless look, and the sets are easy to clean.

How Kansawala Makes Its Bronze
Kansa is an alloy of 78% copper and 22% tin, heated together to form pure bronze. At Kansawala we source good-quality copper and tin for the alloy used in all our dinnerware and serving ware. The metal is cast or formed into sheets, then handcrafted by our artisans in Sihor into spoons, bowls and dishes, ground and polished to a fine finish. We check each piece for quality and get it NABL-certified for safety before it reaches our customers.
